Our cosmetic treatments are all tailored to your needs, and we can improve the appearance of things like wrinkles, scars and veins, as well as revive and rejuvenate your complexion. Treatments include Lasers, Chemical Peels, Botox, Microdermabrasion and Fillers.

Your Dermatologist

Everyone who works for our Cambridge Clinic is dedicated to finding the best solution for you. We want every patient who comes through our doors to have a successful experience. When you book an appointment at our Cambridge Clinic, you will meet a professional Dermatologist for an initial consultation.

In the case of a skin condition or concern, such as Acne or Eczema, your Skin Doctor will talk through your issue, medical history, provide a diagnosis, and recommend the best treatment plan for you. Our goal is to provide the most effective treatment possible from a specialist Dermatologist at our clinic. This may involve prescribing medication, topical treatments, blood tests, performing laser treatment or recommending home care instructions, or a combination of these.

In the case of cosmetic procedures, you will be booked in with a qualified practitioner/ Dermatologist, who is highly trained in your chosen procedure. Depending on your situation, you may decide to have immediate treatment, or you may choose to book a consultation first, to discuss your options. During this appointment, your Skin Doctor will listen to your desired outcome and concerns, explain the options available and recommend the best action plan to give you optimum results. There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions or raise concerns, and everything will be clearly explained to you, in terms of the procedure itself, how it works, and any downtime required. If there’s anything you’d like to ask or discuss prior to booking an appointment, please reach out to us via email or phone, and we will get back to you with more information.

Vitiligo Clinic

Vitiligo is a chronic condition, which causes heightened pigmentation in patches, anywhere on the skin. It affects 1% of the population and can develop at any age. It occurs when the body’s own immune system attacks the colour forming cells in the skin. It is not contagious and most commonly occurs on the face, neck, and hands. Due to the highly visible nature of this condition, it can often result in self-consciousness and a lack of confidence, particularly if discolouration appears on the face.

At our Cambridge Clinic, we have many years of experience treating this condition and want to reassure you that you are not alone. We aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your consultation and we can treat Vitiligo on any areas of the face and body. In our new clinic, we are offering a brand-new course of treatment, which is proven to be extremely successful in treating Vitiligo. Dr Sunil Chopra specialises in this treatment and has years of experience working with Vitiligo patients, as well as a wide range of knowledge treating all kinds of Dermatological issues. Treatment would begin with an initial consultation, confirming your diagnosis and a treatment plan recommended. We aim to provide you with the best results possible and leave you feeling confident, that you have achieved the best outcome possible.

Our Hair Loss Clinic is fronted by world-renowned expert and Skin Doctor, Dr Alex Godic. Dr Godic specialises in all forms of hair loss, scalp conditions and hair disorders, so you can be confident that you’re getting the best treatment available.

There are many different hair disorders which can cause hair loss, so it’s important to know the cause, before proceeding with treatment. With his years of experience dealing with patients in this area, Dr Godic can both diagnose your condition and provide effective treatment. One of the most common types of hair loss is a receding hairline in men, which is something we are well versed at treating successfully. We are currently conducting extensive research into a new product, which has been proven to thicken hair, so this should soon be available at our Cambridge Clinic.

We also provide a range of remedies for multiple hair loss related conditions, such as male and female pattern balding and Alopecia. We can privately prescribe medication, topical treatments and injections, which may not be available to you on the NHS and are proven to have a great success rate. Dr Godic is also able to diagnose and provide treatment for scalp conditions, such as Seborrheic Dermatitis, and disorders which cause excess hair growth. Please get in touch to discuss your issue and we will tell you how we can help.

Aesthetics Clinic

As well as providing medical treatments, our Cambridge Clinic offers a wide range of cosmetic procedures. Led by leading Dermatologist, Dr Sunil Chopra, Dr Zainab Laftah and Una McCormack, our treatments are all carried out safely by medical professionals. We offer almost every kind of cosmetic procedure to improve the appearance of your skin. Our most popular services are Botox, anti-wrinkle treatments, facial rejuvenation, thread vein removal and hair removal. Whatever you need, we have a treatment to suit you.

We have state of the art lasers, including ProFractional and Fraxel lasers, designed specifically to effectively reduce scarring and unwanted marks from the surface of the skin. Our IPL laser regenerates the skin cells by stimulating the production of collagen. This makes it highly effective in improving the skin's elasticity, texture and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. We can also treat areas of hyperpigmentation or sun damaged skin, to give you the look that you desire.

We also offer Botox and dermal fillers, which can transform the appearance of your skin and take years off your face. Every Skin Doctor who performs these procedures at our clinic is highly experienced and trained to perform these with the upmost precision and safety. These options can dramatically reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as leaving skin plumper and more youthful.

If you would prefer a less invasive treatment, we also offer chemical peels and radio frequency procedures, which can be extremely beneficial for rejuvenating your complexion. We can help smooth fine lines, brighten and firm skin, giving you a more youthful and healthier look.

Skin Cancer and Pre-Skin Cancer Clinic

If you’re worried about Skin Cancer, our professional Dermatologists are here to help. If you have an area of skin that you’re concerned about, we can examine this and perform the necessary tests to make a diagnosis. At our Cambridge Clinic, we have the facilities to both treat existing Skin Cancer and pre-cancerous areas, using our fully equipped operating theatre.

There are 2 main categories of Skin Cancer: Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer and Melanoma. The most common cancers are Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) and Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC). These usually start as changes to your skin. This can be caused by excess sun exposure, usually appearing on the face, scalp, ears, lips or legs. Although these may not be cancerous, they can lead to Cancer, if left untreated. Our aim is to alleviate your worry by treating the pre-cancerous stage before it gets a chance to progress, putting your mind at rest.

We have been carrying out considerable research into BCCs at The London Dermatology Centre, in collaboration with Edinburgh University, and are currently developing a topical cream to treat these and avoid surgery.

The Cambridge Dermatology Clinic has all the latest available treatments for pre-cancers, including Cryotherapy, Photodynamic therapy, and topical treatments.

Eczema Clinic

Dr Chopra is our in-house expert at treating Eczema and understands the complexity of this condition. Eczema is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the upper layers of the skin. It’s usually characterised by redness, itching and dryness, and sometimes scaling. There are many different types of Eczema, and it’s crucial that you find a specialist Skin Doctor to determine which type it is and recommend the appropriate treatment. When you book a consultation at our Cambridge Clinic, your Dermatologist will discuss your symptoms, history and examine the affected area, to prescribe the best course of treatment. Eczema treatment can be complex and often includes a maintenance skin care programme to reduce flare ups. We can help to treat your existing Eczema through topical steroids, as well as recommending skin care that won’t worsen your condition, and will help prevent your Eczema from coming back.

Allergy Clinic

The Cambridge Dermatology Clinic offers a comprehensive allergy service, tailored to your needs. This clinic is led by Dr Ien Chan, a Consultant Dermatologist, with years of experience in treating allergies in both adults and children. We understand how frustrating it can be when you keep using trial and error to work out what is causing your symptoms, and we’re here to make it easy for you. The most common allergies are peanuts, seafood, eggs, dust mites, grass, pollen, mould, latex and animal dander. However, there are hundreds of possible triggers for your allergy and it’s important to know exactly what’s causing your issue.

We specialise in both identifying allergens and providing treatment. We offer a variety of techniques to find the root cause. When you book an appointment, your Skin Doctor will complete a thorough allergy assessment, where he/she will discuss your medical history, symptoms and any patterns you’ve noticed. We then have a range of treatments for diagnosing your allergy, including patch tests and blood tests. Once we have figured out what is causing your symptoms, we can then recommend the best course of action, to alleviate them and get you back to full health.
