Reaching your ideal weight and maintaining it not only makes you healthier, it also helps with your self-esteem. If you want to find an effective way to lose weight, it is recommended that you follow the advice of a healthcare professional.

What is the PronoKal Method?

The PronoKal Method is a safe and personalised, medically supervised weight loss programme based on a protein diet. The aim is not only to lose weight, but to maintain the results in the long-term. Throughout the process, patients are supported by a full multidisciplinary team of doctors, dietitians, personal trainers and experts in coaching (emotional reinforcement), who help to achieve short and long-term weight loss goals.

The PronoKal Method offers practical and easy-to-prepare products composed of high–value proteins, with a wide variety of textures and flavours. Products are low in calories and carbohydrates and are virtually fat free, allowing the body to enter into a ketosis stage and resulting in fast weight loss. There is no risk of nutritional deficiencies with the PronoKal Method because the diet is supplemented. More than 310,000 patients have been treated with the PronoKal Method worldwide.

Who is it suitable for?

The PronoKal Method is suitable for all those who want to lose weight and keep it down in the long term. Medical management is essential to the treatment. Doctors who prescribe the PronoKal Method set weight loss targets, check the patient's metabolic status and can rule out possible contraindications.

How does it work?

PronoKal Method Stages:

The method is divided into three stages: Active, Stabilisation and Maintenance.

In the first stage, the Active Stage, duration varies according to the weight loss that is required. At this stage, the patient enters a state of controlled ketosis in which the body expends its energy reserves due to a low intake of fats and carbohydrates. Weight is lost at the expense of accumulated fat, whilst preserving the muscle mass.

In the next stage, Stabilisation, all kinds of foods are gradually introduced into the diet. Just as importantly, new dietary and lifestyle habits are acquired that will help maintain weight loss in the long term.

During the last stage –the Maintenance Stage– the patient, after reaching their target weight, will be looked after by PronoKal dietitians for 2 years to maintain his or her target weight in the long term. This stage combines traditional food products and PronoKal Maintenance products.
