Her clinical work focuses on general clinical nutrition with a special interest in weight loss, weight loss surgery, diabetes, and gut diseases such as IBS, diverticulitis, Crohn's disease, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory diseases like fibromyalgia and arthritis. She is skilled in managing both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and is an expert in metabolism and physiology.
Camilla completed her dietetics degree at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (Catholic University in Paraná State, Brazil) in 2005. She later completed two years of clinical nutrition postgraduate training at Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2007. Continuing her education, she pursued a master’s degree in Metabolism and Physiology at the Universitat de Barcelona in 2009. She undertook higher specialist training in obesity at NYU Langone and Presbyterian Hospital in New York, USA, and weight loss surgery at Maryland Hospital in Baltimore in 2012. She also gained skills in sports nutrition at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm in 2016.
In addition to her clinical expertise in private clinics, Camilla joined the Obesity and Weight Loss Surgery department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, NHS Trust, in 2023. Currently, she operates her own private practice.
Camilla also runs an online detox project, where she offers guided detox programs to help individuals rejuvenate their bodies and improve their overall health. Through this project, she creates and shares healthy recipes tailored to support detoxification, making it easy for her followers to adopt cleaner eating habits. Her recipes focus on using fresh, whole foods to provide essential nutrients while eliminating harmful substances.
