Dr Hsien Herbert Chan

Hsien is an Australian-trained Dermatologist who specialises in skin cancer and inflammatory skin conditions. He completed a DPhil in Clinical Immunology (Atopic Eczema) at the University of Oxford prior to commencing Dermatology training in Sydney, Australia. He has also undertaken further training in Confocal microscopy and high-risk melanoma skin surveillance at the Melanoma Institute Australia. Previous roles have included being a Dermatology Staff Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, where he ran the Confocal Microscopy Clinic, and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, where he coordinated the Solid Organ Transplant Dermatology Clinic.

He is also a co-author of the recently updated Australian Cancer Council Clinical Practice Guidelines for Keratinocyte Cancer and has published research articles on a wide variety of Dermatological conditions. He has undertaken Post Doctoral Research Fellowships at the Centenary Institute and the Charles Perkins Centre and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney School of Medicine.
